How to read scientific data through the prism of artistic interpretation? Creating data based artworks brings us to work with material which was intended for other uses taking place in another time frame with a different audience.

Using art collective Ephemeral Tomorrow's works as a guideline, and especially the installation Atmosphaera presented during the festival, we will discuss ways to read past the raw data and project it into an artistic narrative comprehensible in an exhibition context.

We will see how to import pre-recorded or real time data into Touchdesigner using different techniques and how to format it depending on its specificities for a better use in a visualisation and/or sonification practice.We will then explore different techniques to transpose this data into an audiovisual space and see how different approaches can be more relevant depending on the nature of data we're working with.
