The FARI Digital Twin Brussels platform aims to bring together government, academia, industry, and citizens to co-create use cases, data understandings, and solutions for three core urban challenges: climate and environment, urban mobility, and safety and security. At its heart, the platform embodies the principles of the European Dataspace, enabling diverse stakeholders to contribute, access, and make sense of complex datasets within a shared and transparent framework.

This session focuses on the climate and environment dimension of the platform. Here, qualitative citizen engagement workshops and citizen-contributed datasets on air quality are combined with administrative and scientific data to build a richer picture of Brussels’ environmental reality. Users can explore issues such as air pollution, noise pollution, urban heat island effects, greenspace distribution, and overarching infrastructure resilience.
